Worship and Music:

Zion has three weekly opportunities for worship:

1. Sunday morning at 8:30: Zion has a classical Lutheran worship service in accord with Lutheran tradition and the church year.  Zion’s choir usually practices for this worship at 7:30 on Sunday morning. The Choir’s Director is Keith Johnson. He can be reached at Zion at 320-693-3207. The choir sings a wide variety of music with a preference for American gospel.

2. Sunday morning at 10:45: Zion has a contemporary Lutheran worship service while preserving church year lessons and the structure of the Lutheran worship service. It has different worship teams leading worship each week.
One week is led by a gospel choir under the direction of Renee Capistrant (looking for more singers - contact Renee at 693-5765), another week by the Gilman Street (Jazz) Band, other weeks are led by Pastor Christian/Tim Capistrant, Mindy Czycalla, and Zion’s youth with the help of Christina Kadelbach.  Any of those leaders can be contacted through Zion’s office at 320-693-3207.  Additional musicians are welcomed.

3. Wednesday evening at 6:30: Zion has a blended service and sometimes uses the Holden Evening Prayer Service. This more intimate service is under the direction of the pastors.

Wednesday: 6:30 pm

Holy Communion is served the first and third Sundays of the month and the Wednesday evenings following a Communion Sunday as well as on festival Sundays.
