Music Opportunities
Zion Choir
The Zion Choir usually practices at 7:30 on Sunday mornings and sings at the 8:30 a.m. traditional Lutheran worship service September through May. The Choir Director is Keith Johnson - he may be contacted through the Zion office at 320-693-3207. The choir sings a wide variety of music with a preference for American gospel.
Worship Teams
Zion has different worship teams leading worship each week of the month at the 10:45 a.m. contemporary Lutheran worship service. One week is led by a gospel choir under the direction of Renee Capistrant (looking for more singers - contact Renee at 693-5765), another week by the Gilman Street (Jazz) Band, other weeks are led by Pastor Christian/Tim Capistrant, Mindy Czycalla, and Zion’s youth with the help of Christina Kadelbach. Any of those leaders can be contacted through Zion’s office at 320-693-3207. Additional musicians are welcomed.
Youth Opportunities
Joyful Noise:
Joyful Noise Choir, led by Renee Capistrant, meets on Wednesdays 4:20 – 5pm for 1-5th graders. We love to make and hear noise for God. We use a rotating schedule - 1 & 2nd graders come one week, 3rd - 5th come the next. See church calendar for schedule. Contact Mindy Czycalla with questions.
Children's Musical:
Each spring the Joyful Noise Choir presents a musical to the congregation which is the highlight of the choir's year. The next one will be held on May 2, 2010. Contact Mindy Czycalla with questions.
Youth Worship Team:
The Sr. High Youth have a youth worship team which leads the music in the Sunday contemporary worship services on occasion. Christina Kadelbach coordinates this group. More singers and musicians are always welcome. Contact Christina for more information.
